Environmental Testing

Highly Accelerated Stress Test (HAST) evaluates the reliability of non-hermetic packaged solid-state devices in humid environments. It employs elevated temperature and humidity under pressure to accelerate the penetration of moisture through the external package or along the interface between the package and the metallic conductors that pass through it. HAST testing can be used as an accelerated version of the traditional THB test under certain conditions.
