Component Authentication

Internal Analysis of the device examines the die markings, internal package characteristics and topography and compares against a known good device if possible. AAA has de-capped 1000's of devices and maintains a comprehensive die bank data base of photos to compare to your device.

Dice are examined under magnification (30X to 1000X, typical) and photographed. The die markings and internal features of the device are examined to validate authenticity. Analysis compares die size, general shape, lead frame construction, wire bond gauge and routing to OCM-supplied data when available.

(Note: Destructive Test) AAA recommends 3 samples from each lot be subjected to Internal Analysis.
